Itinerary
- At 08:00 hrs we will pick you up at your hotel to begin the tour.
- From the Raqchi viewpoint we will spectacularly gaze the valley before descending to explore it.
- Next, we’ll travel a short distance to the nearby Maras Salt Mines. These ancient salt mines have been harvesting pink salt for over 500 years and are still in use today. They are considered some of the finest salts in the world. During your visit, you will learn about the salt purity and how it’s harvested. You can even purchase your own for a souvenir.
- For the third stop, we’ll visit the Moray ruins. This Inca site is most recognizable for its large circular and semi-circular agricultural terraces overlooking the Sacred Valley. These terraces were part of an experimental, botanical farm used by the Inca over 500 years ago.
- After that, lunch will be served in a local restaurant at 12:00 hrs
- The last stop of the day is at Ollantaytambo, a spectacular site for appreciating the remarkable urban planning done by the Inca. Not only will you see the fortress, agricultural terraces, and breathtaking views, but also the surrounding windy, cobbled streets of a modern Inca community.
- Finally, at 19:00 hrs we will take you back to the hotel.
