Itinerary
- At 08:30 hrs we will pick you up at your hotel to begin the tour.
- Firstly, we will go to Tipón, an Inca archeological complex located 27 km of Cusco. Here you may discover the 12 agricultural terraces that are still being cultivated with an irrigation system, where water flows through huge carved stone channels.
- There, you will be amazed by the astonishing knowledge of hydraulic engineering that the Incas had, as well as a wonderful system of terraces, which allow the land to offer abundant fruits up to this day.
- Then, we will visit Pikillacta, archeological site built by the Wari people. Among its 700 structures, distributed in 3000 hectares, you can see stone and clay constructions, different terrace works and the head of a condor sculpted in a rock.
- Nearby, you will find the Huacarpay lagoon with its magnificent biodiversity such as the abundant totora reeds on its shores, as well as carob trees and cactus. This will be the natural scenery chosen to enjoy a delicious picnic before continuing with our tour.
- You will continue with the tour to Andahuaylillas, place that holds a beautiful XVI century church, which has an impressive organ decorated with angels and cherubs. Also, you may look at mural paintings and the gold-decorated altars.
- Finally, at 14:30 hrs we will take you back to the hotel.
